A Core Facility for Assaying Hormones and Biomarkers in Research and Diagnostic Samples
The Endocrine Service Lab is a core facility of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences, at the University of Saskatchewan. Our services include measurement of peptide and steroid hormones from diagnostic and research samples from a diverse spectrum of animals, including mammals and non-mammals. In the past, we assayed samples from fishes, domestic animals and humans. While most of the assays are conducted using commercially available assays chosen by the customer, we offer a small number of custom, in-house assays. Please read our website to learn more about our services, and contact us if you have any questions.
Immulite Based Assays
We measure a large number of analytes from diagnostic and research samples using the Siemens Immunlite Immunoassay system.
Commercial and custom in-house assays are available for research and diagnostic samples.
Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent assays
If you prefer to use an ELISA to measure samples, and such assays are commercially available, we will be able to help. We do not offer custom ELISA development.
